Extended network shows 'connected, no internet'

Likely cause

Wrong WiFi password saved, router DHCP conflict, or the extender lost its uplink.

Fix

  1. 1.Re-enter the router WiFi password in the extender admin panel.
  2. 2.Reboot router first, wait 2 minutes, then reboot the extender.
  3. 3.Set the extender to obtain its IP automatically (DHCP) instead of a fixed address.
  4. 4.Move the extender one room closer to the router and retest.

Signal LED is red, amber or blinking

Likely cause

The extender is too far from the router or the link quality is poor.

Fix

  1. 1.Red / no light: no link — re-run setup or re-pair with WPS.
  2. 2.Amber / orange: weak link — relocate closer to the router.
  3. 3.Solid green or blue: healthy link, no action needed.
  4. 4.Check that the router band you paired with is still broadcasting.

Setup page or default IP will not open

Likely cause

Device is on the wrong network, or the address was typed into a search engine.

Fix

  1. 1.Confirm your phone is connected to the extender's setup SSID, not home WiFi.
  2. 2.Disable mobile data and any VPN before opening the page.
  3. 3.Type the address in the browser URL bar, then try a different browser.
  4. 4.Clear the browser cache or use a private window.
  5. 5.Still nothing? Factory reset with the pinhole for 10 seconds and retry.

Speeds drop sharply on the extended network

Likely cause

Single-band extenders halve throughput, and interference makes it worse.

Fix

  1. 1.Reduce the distance between router and extender.
  2. 2.Use the 5 GHz band for the backhaul link if the device supports it.
  3. 3.Change the router WiFi channel to a less crowded one.
  4. 4.Where possible, wire the extender with Ethernet in Access Point mode.

Devices keep switching between router and extender

Likely cause

Both networks share one SSID and the client sticks to the weaker signal.

Fix

  1. 1.Give the extended network a distinct name such as HomeWiFi_EXT.
  2. 2.Forget and rejoin the network on the affected device.
  3. 3.Enable band steering or smart roaming in the router settings if available.

Admin password forgotten or login rejected

Likely cause

Custom password set during an earlier setup or after a firmware update.

Fix

  1. 1.Press and hold the reset pinhole for 10-15 seconds while the device is powered on.
  2. 2.Wait for the LEDs to cycle, then use the default credentials from the label.
  3. 3.Complete setup again and store the new password somewhere safe.
